BLACK YOUTH TOP FOOD STAMP RECIPIENTS

(AP) According to an analysis consisting of 30 years of data, 90 percent of black youth will be on food stamps at some point. The current economic problems could possibly increase that number. This is a big problem and needs to be addressed. We have to understand what causes this number to be so high among our black youth. Poverty, lack of education and multiple pregnancies, I think contribute to this problem. A USDA report done last month, ( October), states that 28.4 million people recieved food stamps in a month and half were younger than 18. We've Got to do better.
